Spinal Cord Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury

Spinal Cord Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury can have serious and lifelong effects on physical, mental and emotional functioning.  Paralysis is a common feature of spinal cord injury; affecting either the entire portion or the bottom half of the body.  Traumatic Brain Injury includes loss of consciousness, altered memory and/or personality, and partial or complete paralysis.

The Awakenings Spinal Cord Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury Program is specifically designed in a way that preserves dignity and provides motivation to re-learn basic skills the injuries may have affected, such as moving, eating, talking, thinking, dressing, and walking.
