Rise and Shine

One client is selected to be elite recipient annually.

By way of contributions and donations 100% of a Rise and Shine Program will be funded annually

A Rise and Shine recipient represents our highest ideals, in that he/she utilizes the program and all of the supportive services to its fullest potential,  engaging in all aspects of self-body and mind, and exploring the unbounded potential of the human spirit.  An extreme level of commitment and dedication will be necessary for an individual to participate in this elite program.  The recipient must possess a combination of determination, courage, and intelligence, be driven to discover more about health and the human body, while being an advocate and role-model for the disabled population.   Our annual recipients will exemplify the qualities and characteristics needed for undertaking this type of intense endeavor, which this specific population will want to emulate.

A Rise and Shine recipient is a spokesperson, using his/her title to educate Americans on an issue of importance to himself/herself and society at large.

The Awakenings’ Rise and Shine Program intent is to make a difference in people's lives through charitable and community endeavors. The recipient will reach out to support his/her ideals and is committed to helping and serving others through the Give Back Community Service.

Proposal to request donations

The following will be performed in asking for donations to support this recipient:

  • Corporate Donations – filling out applications both locally and nationwide, presenting letters, and participating in an ‘asking’ campaign.

In return, the corporations will receive:  a charitable donation write-off, adequate marketing and recognition from a local non-profit organization through various speaking events, hospitals, local chapters, local organizations, schools, industry marketing, and media attention.

  • Private Donations – family and close friends making an annual charitable donation in the name of the recipient.
  • Grants – If we have not been able to meet the amount needed to fund our Rise and Shine recipient, we will apply for possible grants that are applicable to our cause.

Give Back Community Service

Recipient:  Receives funding to participate in the Awakenings Health Institute Program. These individuals will be provided the opportunity to improve their well-being by: improving physical function, and gaining a clearer perspective as to a realistic expectation of his/her body in the condition it is in. The recipient also should see an improvement the overall emotional and mental health, as well as become a higher functioning member of society. These individuals will be provided local and effective means to maximizing their potential and improving the productivity of their lives.

Give Back Community Service:  During the time spent participating in the Awakenings Health Institute Program, the recipient must contribute to the Give Back Community Service.  The recipient must “pay back” required hours in community service for AHI, private contributing donors, and Corporations.  Below is a list of duties a recipient can involve him/herself with in an effort to meet the requirement.

  • Ambassador Program – visiting hospitals to engage in conversation with acute and chronic ND of similarity, share information, help guide, provide support, and create awareness for AHI, contributing corporation(s), and generous donations through family and friends to make this a possibility.
